The kanshitsu technique is mainly used for three dimensional molding, but we made it possible to make kanshitsu into sheets through joint development with the Toki Laboratory of Miyagi University. This is smooth enough as it is, but you can get a higher quality surface by coating it with URUSHI and polishing it repeatedly. Up to now, URUSHI has been understood as a coating technique, but we are proposing a variety of ways to use it by providing it as a "Materials" that can be processed.

おもに立体造形に用いられる乾漆技法ですが、私たちと宮城大学土岐研究室との共同開発によって乾漆をシート状に仕立てることが可能になりました。そのままでも十分に平滑ですがさらに漆を塗り重ね磨くことでより高品質な表面が得られます。これまで漆は塗装技術として理解されてきましたが、私達は加工可能な状態の「素材」として提供することで漆の多様な在り方を提案しています。
